EU 80 m Net.
Section under development.
To move to a net archive page, use the list boxes in the upper-right corner. Select year, net and click on the "Go" button.
NB: Pre-2012 net data are not processed. The Region 3 Net started on February 5, 2017 and ended in 2020.
The following graph and tables provide an overview of the variations in the level of activity for this net and give a general idea of the HF conditions met during the sessions.
-
QNI Graph.
In each month column of this bar graph, the number of participants, Net Control Station (NCS) and participating stations (QNI's), is shown:
- Per week: first week at bottom of column up to fourth/fifth week of the month;
- Per month: red on white background on top of column.
The bottom row in the table shows:
- Total number of sessions;
- Total number of participants;
- Average number of participants per session.
Click on a month name at the top of the graph to jump to the "QNI table" listing all participants per session.
-
QNI Table.
This table lists all net participants per month, week and session. NCS's are marked with "*". "Visitors" are not listed unless they took part in a session. Click on a day date in red to jump to the corresponding report table(s) if available.
-
Report Tables.
These tables compile reception reports received from net participants or listeners (SWL's). NCS's are marked with "*". Each row of a table recapitulates the reports given to the participants by the station listed in the "De" column. Call signs in italics on a different background color in "De" columns indicate reception reports. Reports expressed in decibels, +10dB for instance, must be understood as values over S9.

- De DL2KHU: Good conds, some QSB. Skip to Gosport changed during the session.
- De M0HTE: Some QSB but peak as follows. All stations 599 via WEB SDR in Netherlands.
- De PG4I: Great net this Sunday, signals not very loud but the band behaved very nice: low noise and QRM and just a bit of QSB. I could copy John M0HTE almost all the way. Have been using my main rig: Ten Tec Orion I with 50 Watts out. Low distance MUF stayed at around 5 MHz during the whole session.

Notes:
- De F5LAW: Nice session with strong flutter and slight echo on all signals.
- De PG4I: All signals with Aurora flutter and some QSB. Got an aurora picture from Hanz YL3JD about one hour before the net started just when I noticed some weird sounding signals on 80 meters... (see picture below). Have been using a HARTKIT 2000 rig (5 Watts out), designed by PA0CHN in the 90s of the last century. The key was a hacksaw blade cootie.
- De PA3BYW: All signals were affected by Aurora, causing flutter. Aurora was visible here in Friesland (see picture below).
- De M0HTE: Quite a bit of flutter and QSB even via the WEB SDR based in Netherlands. All stations 599 via SDR and peaks via rig as follows.

- De PG4I: Overall good propagation with some QRN from distant thunderstorms. John's third transmission was partly wiped out by strong QRM. I tried using websdr to determine the signals, it looked like AM from some station close by (very strong). But there was not enough time to listen in.
- De F5LAW: Very nice and interesting session, great to have PA3BYW back at the helm. Net time is now 1900 UTC, no change in LT. Huge QRM on John's over (STN and WX info). AM or FM, could hear voices but couldn't id language. Heard by Durk, Michael and Jo as well, so not local. Maybe not hams...
