Net Archives 2017.
EU 80 m Net.
Section under development.
To move to a net archive page, use the list boxes in the upper-right corner. Select year, net and click on the "Go" button.
NB: Pre-2012 net data are not processed. The Region 3 Net started on February 5, 2017 and ended in 2020.
The following graph and tables provide an overview of the variations in the level of activity for this net and give a general idea of the HF conditions met during the sessions.
-
QNI Graph.
In each month column of this bar graph, the number of participants, Net Control Station (NCS) and participating stations (QNI's), is shown:
- Per week: first week at bottom of column up to fourth/fifth week of the month;
- Per month: red on white background on top of column.
The bottom row in the table shows:
- Total number of sessions;
- Total number of participants;
- Average number of participants per session.
Click on a month name at the top of the graph to jump to the "QNI table" listing all participants per session.
-
QNI Table.
This table lists all net participants per month, week and session. NCS's are marked with "*". "Visitors" are not listed unless they took part in a session. Click on a day date in red to jump to the corresponding report table(s) if available.
-
Report Tables.
These tables compile reception reports received from net participants or listeners (SWL's). NCS's are marked with "*". Each row of a table recapitulates the reports given to the participants by the station listed in the "De" column. Call signs in italics on a different background color in "De" columns indicate reception reports. Reports expressed in decibels, +10dB for instance, must be understood as values over S9.

- De F5LAW: Extremely poor conditions again. M0HTE tried to check in but not detected, sorry John. Happy and healthy new year to all and let's hope for better paths in 2017...
- De PA3BYW: Happy new year to you all!
- De M0HTE: I thought that I heard Yann very faintly this evening and tried calling a couple of times but no response. Happy New Year my friends and hope conditions improve.

Notes:
- De ON6WJ: Antenna comparison test:
Ant1 = Doublet 2x30m up +/- 8m;
Ant2 = 200cm Diam Mag Loop Antenna (MLA).
Simple loop made of 15mm diam central heating Alu pipe, remote controlled, up +/- 2,5m, pointed "North-South" direction for PA and F. Next week will turn to "East-West" for the UK gang. In the table below RSTs with MLA are in brackets.

Sunday, January 15, 2017.
80 m: 2000 - 2100 UTC, 3566 kHz.
Notes:
- De F5LAW: No session due to extremely poor conditions. Been calling CQ SSN from 1950 to 2030 UTC. Only station detected and identified: ON6WJ. No QSO.
- De ON6WJ: Strong interference by that SM6 Beacon station. QSO only HB9BJL.
- De PA3BYW: Horrible conds. heard a lot of Bulgarian stns calling CQ-test with 599 signals on the lower band edge. So no short skip this session. QSO only HB9BJL; NCS short peak at 589.
- De G3VTT: I searched for you at around 2044 and only heard a weak HB9 working Jos ON6WJ. The band was full of noise. This must be like the end of the world!

- De F6EEQ: At the beginning, everybody, save John which I did not hear even guessed, was 599/599+10, then deep and slow QSB. Durk you were under 589, Yann I almost lost you, only Nigel was more or less stable. Then the big QRM from number station came, and covered every transmission. I only heard Yann calling M0HTE, but not the QSY...
- De PA3BYW: Bad QRM on 3566 from strong nr stations so QSY 1 up. Sorry, John, Nigel and Gérard/ Lost you completely. Yann's Sigs went down to 459.
- De M0HTE: After round one I had lost you all to QRM/QSB and had to drop out. I sent something out but not sure if it was read. Sorry, just couldn't read anybody in the end.

- De M0HTE: I had visitors and cooked dinner early then excused myself at 2000 but had to leave the SSN party early at 2100 to get back to them. QSB on all stations, ON6WJ Jos a good 589 throughout.

Heavy QRN/bursts of static here at times due to hail showers, awful WX. Thanks to PA3BYW for reporting M0HTE trying to QNI, and to F6EEQ for QSPs to/from PA3BYW and G4ZXN.
- De M0HTE: I tried calling and breaking in but without success so not sure if any station heard me try or not.

Notes:
- De PA3BYW: QRM5 on 3566 kHz so shifted to 3565 kHz. Heard vy faint signals and recognized Yann's FB cootie fist. But very hard to copy; RST 229. Signals from F5ROB, Claude 599+10/ QSB. Excellent. TNX for QSP msg's. Very SRI no QSO with John, Gérard and others.
- De F5LAW: Strange conditions indeed. QRM 5 on 3566 kHz, big noise, shifted to 3565 kHz, heard extremely weak signals, no copy, understood that was Durk - PA3BYW calling. I "checked in" (2006Z) but no real QSO until Claude - F5ROB came to our rescue (2027Z) to QSP.
- De F6EEQ: I heard Durk PA3BYW call around 20:50, but too low to allow QSO (around 359). So I stayed put, awaiting improvement of propagation. Around 21:10 I heard Yann F5LAW, but in same bad conditions... Later on I heard Claude F5ROB with a very good report (599+10)...
- De M0HTE: Nothing heard on the SSN net tonight. Thought I heard Durk briefly but nothing else.
- De CN8YR: Nil copy at Twente webSDR but solid copy all the time at DK0TE webSDR. Heard Durk's French QSO with Claude at the beginning and the French chat Yann / Claude. Very strange no sigs in PA and strong sigs in DL land.

- De PA3BYW: Started the net on usual QRG 3566 kHz but QSY 3596 kHz due to contest QRM. Rig was new homebuilt mcHF (vs06) SDR TRX, 10W.
