Modified Vibroplex Vibrokeyer.

GW0FJT's Modified Vibroplex Vibrokeyer, click to enlarge picture.

Pros:

  1. Vibrokeyers are readily available, including spares
  2. Robust key
  3. Lots of adjustments possible
  4. Conversion relatively easy / quick
  5. Precise feel
  6. Capable of slightly higher speeds if that is important.

Cons:

  1. Harder feel than a blade cootie
  2. Mechanically quite noisey
  3. Heavier base but still needs sticking to the desk (I haven't found soft enough replacement feet to grip better)
  4. Two longer American broad threaded screws required for the flat finger pieces, which might be harder to find if you are not in the US.

Conclusion:
A practical and robust cootie with a good feel.
