EU 80 m Net.
Section under development.
To move to a net archive page, use the list boxes in the upper-right corner. Select year, net and click on the "Go" button.
NB: Pre-2012 net data are not processed. The Region 3 Net started on February 5, 2017 and ended in 2020.
The following graph and tables provide an overview of the variations in the level of activity for this net and give a general idea of the HF conditions met during the sessions.
-
QNI Graph.
In each month column of this bar graph, the number of participants, Net Control Station (NCS) and participating stations (QNI's), is shown:
- Per week: first week at bottom of column up to fourth/fifth week of the month;
- Per month: red on white background on top of column.
The bottom row in the table shows:
- Total number of sessions;
- Total number of participants;
- Average number of participants per session.
Click on a month name at the top of the graph to jump to the "QNI table" listing all participants per session.
-
QNI Table.
This table lists all net participants per month, week and session. NCS's are marked with "*". "Visitors" are not listed unless they took part in a session. Click on a day date in red to jump to the corresponding report table(s) if available.
-
Report Tables.
These tables compile reception reports received from net participants or listeners (SWL's). NCS's are marked with "*". Each row of a table recapitulates the reports given to the participants by the station listed in the "De" column. Call signs in italics on a different background color in "De" columns indicate reception reports. Reports expressed in decibels, +10dB for instance, must be understood as values over S9.

80 m: 2000 - 2140 UTC, 3566 kHz.
Notes:
- De PA3BYW: Happy New Year all!
- De DL2KHU: Conds quite good this evening. Sri that I had to leave the net earlier.
- De F5LAW: Smashing signals squashing my local noise, well done guys! Now and then, when QSB, using GB3WB webSDR in Weston-Super-Mare. Really enjoyed this first EU SSN of 2021. Thanks to all participants and to Maestro Durk for running the net. A very Happy and Healthy Year 2021 to you and yours friends.
- De M0HTE: Happy New Year all.

Sunday, January 10, 2021.
80 m: 2000 - 2040 UTC, 3566 kHz.
Notes:
- De PA3BYW: Conditions were awful, noisy band and deep QSB. Didn't hear more QNI's. Hope to meet you agn next week in better condx.
- De M0HTE: Peak reports. Nil heard from any other station.
- De F5LAW: Great EU SSN last Sunday but one of the worst ever today, a disaster! High local noise level so using GB3WB webSDR in Weston-Super-Mare. Peak reports for both stations via direct during round 3.
- De DL2KHU: Skip to long. So I could not check in. Hpe better conds next Sunday. Here my rx-rprts.
- De ON6WJ: I was QRV but due poor propa, condx nada zero could not hear any one the first 10 minutes. So went QRT (too cold in the shack).
- De DC5GD: Totally nil. Sometimes a beep but most time only "Shhhhhhh....". Tried to call in anyway but no response of anybody.

Notes:
- De F5LAW: Short QNI list but very nice session. Local QRM here so using F6BIR and GB3WB webSDRs. Reports via direct: PA3BYW, solid copy throughout; M0HTE, no report, no copy, signal at noise level; M5TUE, at noise level during rounds 1 and 2, then solid copy during rounds 3 and 4 with a signal up to 10dB over S9, great with ten watts!

Notes:
- De PA3BYW: DL5MB, Martin, First time on the net, didn't stay long.
- De DL2KHU: Nice to hear Martin DL5MB for the first time.
- De F5LAW: Most signals much stronger than my local noise level. Excellent +20dB signal from DL2KHU, amazing! QSX on G0XBU and DK0TE webSDRs for weaker signals.

Sunday, February 7, 2021.
80 m: 2000 - 2050 UTC, 3566 kHz.
Notes:
- De F5LAW: Well, a total fiasco at this end, atrocious conditions + local QRM. Not same QRM as before but kind of a TV/PC noise, awful! I switched to webSDR at end. Thanks Durk for taking NCS at end, hopeless here. A warm welcome to Dick - PA3CW, let's hope for better conditions next time.
- De M0HTE: Sorry Yann. Condx poor last night. I had you 589 but QSB dropped you to nil. No other stations heard and you couldn't hear me after the first round so
I went QRT, better luck next week.
- De PA3BYW: PA3CW, Dick was using his Mag Loop and just started using a cootie. (Being a ex RO, that wont be a pbm I guess).
Picture of my home made tiny Nano cootie (size: 35mm x 20mm).
- De DL2KHU: no good conds yesterday evening. I had strong QRM on 80 m. Usually in spite of the QRM on 80 m I can receive also weak signals with the DSP-tricks of my
TS-870S but yesterday the sigs were to weak. I heard only Yann with RST 359 QSB.

80 m: 2000 - 2042 UTC, 3566 kHz.
Notes:
- De F5LAW: Terrible conditions, we gave up at 2042Z. Very pleased to work Bjarne - SM7FBJ, super cootie operator, long time no hear. I was running QRO 50W but guess that didn't help at all.
- De DC5GD: Deep QSBBBBB, S-Meter jojoing from 2 to 8 without any signal in the air!!! Watching the S-Meter was like watching a tennis match, eyes were always moving left - right - left -right ... Despite using all available filters here most time only heard a "Shhhhhhhhh" (and added "....it" hi hi).

- De F5LAW: Very nice start but skip changed at end of 2nd round around 2040 UTC and QSB got us all. A warm welcome to Ralf - DJ1RP and great to have Colin - G3VTT with us tonight.
- De G3VTT: Nice to be back again, at least for now. I lost everybody at 2040z and couldn't hear a thing! There is also a noise around 3566 at my end. Better luck next time I hope.
- De M0HTE: Condx good at start but with quite a bit of QSB. Lost contact with everybody except Durk on the last over.
- De ON6WJ: SRI but at the the end of Ralf's round, here the lights went out: only noise, listened for extra 10 minutes but zero SSN sigs here, so went downstairs, put the TV-set on and... fell a sleep (like usual).

- De F5LAW: Rewriting my summary. I was about to report a real flop for this last net of 2021, but happy ending, good QSOs with Durk and Peter after a very tough and discouraging beginning: 1950 UTC, calling CQ SSN. Heard Durk, but 229 at best, NIL most of time. Think I heard another station, DL2KHU, or maybe M0HTE? 129 at best. Tried several webSDRs to check my signal, NIL in UK, Belgium, good on DK0TE in Friedrichshafen. Lots of CQ SSN till 2045 UTC, no takers. Gave up and went in next room to write summary, leaving audio from TRX in shack. 2011 UTC, suddenly heard Durk signing off with good signal, 589, back to the shack and called him and great chat with armchair copy at both ends, up to 599 +10dB. Peter checked in at end and we had a very nice chat. Better cnditions in 2022! A Happy and Healthy year 2022 to you and yours friends.
- De PA3BYW: Heard vy faint signals from Yann F5LAW. No copy, so went to HB9EXC web sdr. There QRK4-5. Noise level S8 here... :-( Gave up... After QNF I gave my c/s just to see if it could be picked up at a web sdr and Yann F5LAW heard me! Signals gradually improved. Max RST 599+10. We had a nice chat. After my QRT heard Peter GM3VMB: 599. Sorry no QSO. 73 Durk PA3BYW, HNY.
