Net Archives 2023.
EU 80 m Net.
Section under development.
To move to a net archive page, use the list boxes in the upper-right corner. Select year, net and click on the "Go" button.
NB: Pre-2012 net data are not processed. The Region 3 Net started on February 5, 2017 and ended in 2020.
The following graph and tables provide an overview of the variations in the level of activity for this net and give a general idea of the HF conditions met during the sessions.
-
QNI Graph.
In each month column of this bar graph, the number of participants, Net Control Station (NCS) and participating stations (QNI's), is shown:
- Per week: first week at bottom of column up to fourth/fifth week of the month;
- Per month: red on white background on top of column.
The bottom row in the table shows:
- Total number of sessions;
- Total number of participants;
- Average number of participants per session.
Click on a month name at the top of the graph to jump to the "QNI table" listing all participants per session.
-
QNI Table.
This table lists all net participants per month, week and session. NCS's are marked with "*". "Visitors" are not listed unless they took part in a session. Click on a day date in red to jump to the corresponding report table(s) if available.
-
Report Tables.
These tables compile reception reports received from net participants or listeners (SWL's). NCS's are marked with "*". Each row of a table recapitulates the reports given to the participants by the station listed in the "De" column. Call signs in italics on a different background color in "De" columns indicate reception reports. Reports expressed in decibels, +10dB for instance, must be understood as values over S9.

Report Tables.
Sunday, January 1, 2023.
80 m: 2000 - 2013 UTC, 3566 kHz.
Notes:
- De F5LAW: A very bad start to 2023. Good signal at first from GM3VMB but lost in QSB after the intro. I think I heard M0HTE calling and nothing from PA3BYW. I gave up at 2013 UTC. A very Happy and Healthy Year 2023 to you and yours friends.
- De GM3VMB: Never had conditions that poor before. F5LAW was Q4 to Q5 but very weak and fluttery. I heard PA3BYW after we signed but with a similar signal to F5LAW's so difficult to read. May 2023 be a happy and prosperous new year for you and yours.
- De M0HTE: I couldn't hear F5LAW on the radio and only just audible on the sdr.web I called a couple of times but Yann couldn't hear me so gave up. Not much other activity on 80m my end either. HNY and 73.
- De PA3BYW: Total disaster. I heard F5LAW via web sdr in Italy. Tried to QNI but nil. I tried many websdr's tonite from Finland, Fuerteventura (Canarias), Ireland, Italy etc. I could here my signals clearly. But nearby web sdr's nothing. Happy New Year to all.

Notes:
- De PA3BYW: First, wish you and your family a happy and healthy new year. Nice to hear you all but condx were vy unsettled. Some times I had to use a web SDR.
- De DL2KHU: Unstable conds and a noisy band but a great net. Vy pleased to meet you all in the new year.
- De F5LAW: Nice session in spite of extremely unstable conditions, very deep QSB on all stations, peak reports. Excellent signal from DL7ACH running QRP. A very Happy and Healthy Year 2023 to you and yours friends.
- De M0HTE: My vertical antenna is now back up on a new pole. I was using the delta loop most of the time but swapping it with the vert to see if readings changed but S number stayed much the same regardless of which one I had on.

- De F5LAW: Very good signals from all stations. Some local QRM here at beginning, gone after a few minutes. Thanks to PG4I for reporting ON4ASZ. I missed Jan's call in local QRM and doubling with DC1DR.
- De PG4I: Very nice session last Sunday! Could hear ON?ASZ calling in and quickly checked the archive and found out it was actually ON4ASZ. Yann did not hear him, he was about 469 here. Noise level around S5 this evening with 1 S-point of QSB on all signals. Could here John M0HTE very well at times.

- De F5LAW: A good start, all stations between S7 and S9+. At end of first round all signals down to 119. QSX to end of net via F4FPR's webSDR in Huelgoat (Brittany, west of F) where PA3BYW and DL2KHU had good signals.
- De DL2KHU: Could cpi all stations at QNI, at rnd 1 only Durk and Yann, later nil from all stations. Could cpi Durk until QNF via web sdr.
- De M0HTE: Condx varied. Sorry, I was called away during round one. Durk PA3BYW was 569 then lost him after round 2. Even the WEB SDR was poor for all stations. Being unable to get back in after first round I gave up and QSY'd to 40m.

- De M0HTE: Varied condx with some QSB and all stations 599 give or take via WEB SDR.
- De PG4I: The net started out with good signals. After 10-15 minutes into the session signals dropped suddenly some 4-5 S-points. Could no longer hear Yann and Durk. Only station I could copy was Jon GW0FJT with a steady 579. Very weird. I could still hear Durk in the very distance but after 40 minutes or so we got bombed by contest QRM.

Notes:
- De PA3BYW: Used G8URE web sdr with good signals on all (except ON4ASZ sri).
- De F5LAW: Very deep QSB on all stations around 2035 UTC. Back to normal for 3rd round but skip too long to receive ON4ASZ and M0HTE.
- De PG4I: At start of the net the MUF for short distances was at 4.0 MHz according to the Dourbes ionosonde but signals where not that great. About 45 minutes into the net MUF dropped quickly from 3.8 to 3.6 MHz and signals were getting weaker. I was afraid we were going to lose it, but then the MUF rose again and signals were getting stronger, very weird. I copied Michael at 589 towards the end.
- De M0HTE: All 599 via WEB SDR. Peak readings as follows.
- De AA7FV: I tried to listen to part of the EU SSN net last night using the Twente websdr, but conditions were disappointing. I did hear F5LAW, PG4I and PA3BYW, but only occasional snatches of anybody else. My Internet connection was also disappointing, with frequent dropouts sometimes making copy difficult.
