Net Archives 2017.
Intercontinental Net.
Section under development.
To move to a net archive page, use the list boxes in the upper-right corner. Select year, net and click on the "Go" button.
NB: Pre-2012 net data are not processed. The Region 3 Net started on February 5, 2017 and ended in 2020.
The following graph and tables provide an overview of the variations in the level of activity for this net and give a general idea of the HF conditions met during the sessions.
-
QNI Graph.
In each month column of this bar graph, the number of participants, Net Control Station (NCS) and participating stations (QNI's), is shown:
- Per week: first week at bottom of column up to fourth/fifth week of the month;
- Per month: red on white background on top of column.
The bottom row in the table shows:
- Total number of sessions;
- Total number of participants;
- Average number of participants per session.
Click on a month name at the top of the graph to jump to the "QNI table" listing all participants per session.
-
QNI Table.
This table lists all net participants per month, week and session. NCS's are marked with "*". "Visitors" are not listed unless they took part in a session. Click on a day date in red to jump to the corresponding report table(s) if available.
-
Report Tables.
These tables compile reception reports received from net participants or listeners (SWL's). NCS's are marked with "*". Each row of a table recapitulates the reports given to the participants by the station listed in the "De" column. Call signs in italics on a different background color in "De" columns indicate reception reports. Reports expressed in decibels, +10dB for instance, must be understood as values over S9.

- De F5LAW: Great to hear my DX cootie pals again... Heard Darrel booming in so I couldn't resist calling the gang.
- De KA5TJS: I had a copy on Yann in between QSB dips. Darrel was solid and heard no one else. Did not stick around for the other bands.

20 m: 1500 - 1558 UTC, 14349 kHz.
Notes:
- De AA7FV: On both bands, all stations were perfect copy, in spite of QSB. Yann especially was one of the best signals I've heard from him. 20m: Too much QRM on 14055 kHz. At first 95 watts, then later QRO to kW.
- De F5LAW: QRM on 14055 kHz, shifted to alt QRG. Excellent path to AZ.
- De KA5TJS: Very light copy on TJ and I got about 60% of Yann's info. QSB was pretty bad here.

- De AA7FV: Nothing heard on 21055 kHz. 18088 kHz: We had been chatting on the frequency for about 10 minutes, when a DX pileup arrived on our frequency. This is exactly what Jean used to complain most about. Obviously none of the stations calling the DX had checked whether the frequency was already in use before swamping us with their calls. The worst case of poor operating QRM I've experienced in a long time.
- De CN8YR: 18088 kHz: I heard Darrel copying TJ and Jim, but 3C0L pile up made lot of QRM. As usual, I'm sure Jean would have sent him a message of protest.

- De F5LAW: Nice sessions, some bad QSB but better than usual. Merry Xmas to you and yours fellows.

A good, truly intercontinental SSN to end the year, although I wish signals on 15m had been stronger. Thanks to all for a great year of SSN, and I look forward to more great Sideswiper nets in 2018. Thanks to all the NCS for running the nets (...) All the best for 2018.
- De CN8YR: 1600 - 1605 UTC 21055 kHz: Nil sigs heard. 17m: Thanks Darrel for taking NCS and all QSPs. Thanks to all sideswipers for keeping this net alive whatever the conditions (...) Happy New Year to all.
- De F5LAW: 1600 - 1605 UTC, 21055 kHz: Heard very weak signals at 119/NIL, probably CN8YR calling. Nice sessions on both bands in spite of QSB. Thanks fellows, 2017 SSN has been great and we'll do even better in 2018! HNY to you and yours gents, take care and BCNU.
